Closing Day Checklist
Everything you need to know and bring to your closing appointment to ensure a smooth transaction.

Closing day is the culmination of weeks or months of work. Being prepared will help ensure everything goes smoothly.
What to Bring:
- Valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license or passport)
- Certified funds for closing costs (usually a cashier's check or wire transfer)
- Proof of homeowner's insurance
- Any additional documents requested by your lender or escrow officer
What to Expect:
- Review and sign multiple documents
- Pay closing costs and down payment
- Receive keys (after funding and recording)
- The process typically takes 1-2 hours
Before Closing:
- Confirm the closing date and time
- Verify the amount needed for closing
- Complete a final walkthrough of the property
- Review the Closing Disclosure
After Closing:
- Keep all closing documents in a safe place
- Update your address with relevant parties
- Set up utilities in your name
- File your deed (usually handled by the title company)
